Our Mission

My name is Anna Heur and I’ve worn glasses since age 5! Because of this, I have developed a passion to help others with impaired vision.

Established in 2020, Step to Specs is committed to providing the underserved population of Los Angeles with free glasses. Through collaboration with the Los Angeles General Medical Center, we orchestrate glasses clinics to distribute eyewear and improve quality of life for all patients we serve.

Step to Specs has helped patients read, drive, and walk again through the 4,000+ donations we have received!

Our Glasses

Our glasses are donated and gently used. We measure each prescription with an lensometer (courtesy of USC Optometry Department).  Each pair is sanitized thoroughly. All external costs are covered by fundraising and donations.
